ABOUT
SNAKE VALLEY OBSERVATORY

Picture
Snake Valley is nestled between Ballarat and Beaufort in Western Victoria, Australia.
We are fortunate to have very dark country sky, which makes our viewing nights quite spectacular.
Our Club Room and Observatory were built by the members over several years,
and the Observatory is a Roll-Away style of building
The facilities and grounds are managed by the
Snake Valley Astronomical Association (SVAA) who meet
regularly for Visual Astronomy, Astrophotography, 'Live' Video Astronomy
and to operate the Observatory.

The official history of the SVAA can be found here at Wikipedia

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
______________

The Observatory is used for Astrophotography, while more Astrophotography and
normal Visual Astronomy are done out on the main observing field.
